Before you write
The three that cause most of the mail
- Why is the map blank in flight? Download the region pack
- The map draws from packs stored on your phone, and nothing can be fetched at cruise altitude. Download the world map and the region for your route while you still have Wi‑Fi on the ground.
- Why is there no position at all? Location must stay on
- Airplane Mode and Location are separate switches. Airplane Mode is fine, since GPS only receives, but Location has to stay on, and a few phones need it switched on again after Airplane Mode. A window seat also gets a fix faster than a middle seat.
- Why was my flight not saved? Free saves 5, or 15 with ads
- The free tier saves your first 5 flights as a lifetime total, and a rewarded ad in the travel log unlocks more, up to 15. Past that the flight is still recorded and unlocks when you upgrade. A session too short to produce a real GPS trace doesn’t count as a flight.
