Year in Flights turns everything you tracked into one card: the world map you filled in, total flights and distance, your top route, your longest flight and hours in the air. It builds from your own travel log, so it needs nothing but the flights you have already flown.

Built from your log, not a survey
Each flight is recorded from GPS as you fly and saved when you land, so the year card is accurate without you entering anything. The distance is the distance actually flown, measured from the GPS trace, and the hours are time in the air rather than scheduled block time.

What the card shows
A world map with every country you flew over that year shaded in, then the numbers: flights, total distance, time in the air and countries. Two lines pick out the stories: your top route, the one you flew most, and your longest flight.
It is laid out as a single image in portrait, sized for a phone screen and a social post, and carries the SkyDot mark and web address at the bottom.
Which year it covers
The card shows the most recent year you have flights in. Open it in March and you see the year so far; open it in January before your first trip and you still get last year.
It counts the flights unlocked in your travel log. On the free tier that means your first saved flights plus any unlocked with rewarded ads, and Premium counts every flight you tracked.
Also: a card for every landing
When a flight ends, SkyDot offers a boarding-pass card for that flight on its own, in a free Night template or a Premium Horizon one. Both carry a "Tracked offline with SkyDot" mark.
Getting a fuller year
The card can only add up flights that were tracked, so the habit that matters is tapping Start tracking on every flight, including short ones. Anything over 40 km or above 2,500 m is saved, which covers almost every commercial hop. Download the world basemap once and you never need a connection to do it.

When is Year in Flights available?
Whenever you have at least one saved flight. It shows the most recent year you flew in and fills out as you track more flights.
Is Year in Flights free?
Yes. The card itself is free. It adds up the flights unlocked in your travel log, so Premium, which unlocks every saved flight, gives the complete picture.
Can I share the card?
Yes, that is what it is for. It exports as an image you can post or send.
How is the distance worked out?
From the GPS track of each flight, so it is the distance the aircraft actually flew. That is usually a little more than the straight-line distance between the airports.
Can I add flights I took before installing the app?
No. The year is built from flights SkyDot tracked. There is no manual entry or import, which is also why the numbers can be trusted.
